Cynthia Gentry has not received any gifts yet
I am a newly-minted grandmother of an awesome little guy named Hayden. I am a mom, an evil step-mom, a wife, a sister, an aunt. I quit the corporate world in 1995 to paint rainforest murals in children's hospitals, a school in Sarajevo,Bosnia, inner city day care centers, and a camp for sick kids.
Now, I run the Atlanta Taskforce on Play. I am on the Board of the International Play Association and the Editor of Play Rights Magazine. I believe play is a right of all children. I am very lucky to do the work I do and to have the family and friends that I have.

I really just need a place to write and my life is all about trying to make cool stuff happen, the website is already paid for, so here I am writing, for today. …

The Eiffel Tower and nearby carousel
Had an idea today while walking down the Left Bank of the river Seine tonight. I thought it would be so cool to have a blog/show called "Beginner's Luck." In it people would start up new things- enterprises, hobbies, campaigns and so on...really cool things and we…

Did you ever read that book about being an artist? The one where the author suggests you write "morning pages" each day to clean out the garbage in your head and connect with your creativity? Oh, I remember, it was The Artist's Way. (I'll add the link later, something's wrong with my keyboard.) Anyway, that's what this is going to be for me...sort of.
This morning I read a great interview about getting beyond the resistance and just doing the work. (I'll add that link later,…
